Well, my hope here is that someone can build just general guidelines about what is important to know to get started, taking for a starting point someone that knows nothing at all about witchcraft (that's me, but may also concern future members). I know there may not be only one way to start, in wich case I'd like to know about as many of them as possible ^-^

I suggest looking up which part you are most intorested (there are many paths of witchcraft). When you find the one that most interests you, follow it and learn all you can. Im sure eventually when this coven gets more popular others of the path you picked will be there to help you further! Good luck on your journey Thor ^^

Guess it would depend on what kind of things you're interested in. We can find resources for you based on those interests. ^_^

well, I can't really say... since I don't even know what is possible at all XD Can also depend on what I can get my hands on for rituals and things like that... Guess a rough list of possible paths could allow me to see clearer, and eventually make a choice (if such a thing exists); asked just like that, I have no idea of what to answer :/

Alright. I can give a good list. Not an all-encompassing one, as I'm sure there are paths I haven't come across, but a good one.
Any of these paths can be practiced in a Coven, or Solitary. And the different types can be practiced simultaneously too.
~Kitchen Witchcraft: Centered in the home. Deals with finding magic in the everyday, working with the spirits of the home and especially the kitchen. More practical than ritual. Lots of cooking, and making things with herbs, and using crystals.
~Sea Witchcraft: Deals with the energies of the oceans and seas.
~Green Witchcraft: Nature based. Deals with the energies of the Earth, plants, and beings that dwell in outdoor places. Herbs and trees are big here. But really, this path is super flexible.
~Hedge Witchcraft: Shamanistic practice. Deals with crossing the boundary ("hedge") between our physical world and that of the spirits. Very difficult and sometimes dangerous path, but it's very astral oriented. A lot of communication with beings outside our realm.
~Fairy Witchcraft: Working with Fairies
~Chaos Magic: I recommend researching this one on your own, as it is quite complicated. It deals with manipulating your belief system to fit your needs.....and has lot of fancy theories.
~Urban Witchcraft: Deals with the energies of Urban environments.
~Tech Witchcraft: Magic using technology. Such as cell phones, tablets, computers.
~Hearth Witchcraft: Kitchen Witchcraft without the cooking XD
And of course, there's Eclectic Witchcraft, which is taking bits from different paths and adopting them into your practice based on how they work for you. But I'm not going to put that one in the actual list, for obvious reasons.

Chaos is interesting (especially considering I'm a firm believer of placebo effect), but seems like a path you have to walk almost completely on your own... dunno if it's good considering how little I know. Beside, throwing the god you serve through the window... No, I'm too much of the loyal kind for that ^-^ Hedge is extremely appealing to me, if hard at first sight (and will probably stay that way) but clearly the most appealing to me, for various reasons. And last is green, who just seems good. I mean, i have woods not far from here after all that I could probably put to use Soo, I guess i'll get more information on the latter two; thanks for the list ^^
