So...this is is gonna be more a journal than a Grimoire, at least to begin with. Maybe I'll post some more witchy twitchy things later on. But here, I'm just gonna make it more like a to-do list of things I want to accomplish as a beginner Wiccan/witch.
I've been trying to get this started for a few months (read: nearly a year :/) but I've been sidetracked by a lot of things. I've been busy dealing with family matters, combating depression, the holidays coming up. Things have just been kind of hectic. Hopefully when I'm able to set up my own alter I can do a few spells to stablilize things and pave the way for 2016 to be a good productive year where I build on all the strong foundations I've built in 2015. (Ugh, 2015's been horrible. Thank the gods you'll be over soon.)
Anyways, I generally hate to-do lists, but I'll just jot down stuff here when it comes to mind.
First thing's first:
-Finish reading all those books !!
-Set up a holy space/altar in my new, redecorated room
-Design an initiation ritual for myself
I know I don't necessarily need to do an initiation; it's not required, and hey, it's not for everyone. It's just what feels right to me. It helps build a strong baseline for where to start off my Witchcraft/Wiccanry, and I'll definitely feel better after doing it. More 'official.' And hey, it's the energy that makes it so, y'know? It will also give me some more practice in designing spells and rituals.
Anyone have any tips for designing my initiation ritual?
